Supervisor Suzanne Jones Endorsed by Sierra Forward

In District 4, we are endorsing the re-election of Supervisor Suzanne Jones. Suzanne, first elected in 2022, has done a good job of representing her constituency. She agrees that we need more workforce housing, particularly in the Tahoe region. The state requires 10% of all projects to have a low-cost housing component, and she does not support the county’s standard practice of “fees in lieu” to avoid this requirement. She supports expanding commuter rail between Roseville and Sacramento to supplement the current bus service between Placer and Sacramento.

Suzanne’s major opponent is Jeff Moss. As a developer, Jeff received a Notice of Violation for improper if not outright illegal grading along a tributary of Linda Creek, and was fined for illegal dumping of asphalt along the same waterway. In an apparent political power grab, Moss has been endorsed by two current and two former Supervisors who have collectively raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from developers and have the voting record to match.
