Kate Scott lives in Lincoln CA. Born and raised in Wyoming, she has lived most of her life in Northern California. Scott serves at Vice Chair, Outreach for Sierra Forward.

Raised in a politically aware family and taught the importance of community service, Scott’s political participation and public service dates to 1967 while living in Washington DC. Scott relocated to Davis, earned a BS in Environmental Design from the University of California, Davis, raised two children and after a few years in the private sector, returned to UCDavis as a manager in the Division of Student Affairs where she established the Design Services department. Scott served as the department Director until 2008 when she retired from the University.

Since she was a teenager, Scott has been consistently drawn to political engagement and has volunteered for countless campaigns for candidates and issues. In addition, she has consistently participated in local, regional and state political activities serving as a leader/officer and elected party representative. Her most recent campaign experiences include: Regional Field Organizer, Northern CA, CD04, Obama for America 2008-12, Deputy Regional Field Organizer, Obama Presidential Campaign, 2012, Campaign Manager, Derlet for Congress, CD04, 2016, Elector, California Electoral College, CD 4, 2016
