Tomorrow is the day we exercise one of the most valuable rights of citizenship in this country that we all love. Tomorrow we vote. And we will learn whether the tens of thousands of hours, spent by thousands of people across this District, was enough.
For nearly two years, Sierra Forward has been working for your vote. Two district-wide surveys, which provided the framework for and built the confidence to mount a “Replace McClintock” campaign, and then over 50 briefings, to 1,500 voters across all 10 counties, discussing the results of the surveys. House parties for Jessica Morse, with guests totaling nearly 1,000, enlisting hundreds of volunteers and raising thousands of dollars. Two major events, featuring Congressmen Eric Swalwell and John Garamendi. Dozens of “postcard parties,” resulting in 60,000 cards being sent to voters across the District. Texts to nearly 20,000 registered voters. Weekly messages about the many failures of our current Representative. These are some of the things Sierra Forward and its volunteers have done for your vote.
And so, with our last message before the election, we are asking you: Please vote. Please do the one thing we all can do to change our District, and our country. Please make sure that your vote plays a role in the decision about who will represent us in Congress. Please take on this small but vital responsibility in a government that will only represent us if we tell it what we want, through our vote. And please bring family, friends and neighbors with you to the polls, who might not have voted without your encouragement. Because when more people vote, Democrats win, time and again.
The team at Sierra Forward is grateful to everyone who has contributed to, volunteered with, and advocated for Sierra Forward in its fight to elect our next Representative, Jessica Morse. We could not have done any of this without you.
With you, we will change the world, one congressional seat at a time. Because California’s Fourth District, and this country, deserve better than Tom McClintock.
We deserve Jessica Morse. And with your help, we will elect her.
